Writing Portfolio: Anger/Betrayal

Selection #1: A confrontation between Sarulndil and his former mentor.

Saru: Commander, I can’t believe I looked up to you! You’ve become everything you taught me to hate, except human, perhaps.
Runil: I was wrong, Sarulndil. I was wrong about all of it. The Nords are good people. The Divines are not false.
Saru: YOU were the one who stole my faith in them and brought me to Lord Dagon!
Runil: I know. I am sorry. No power is worth what he asks…
Saru: No! You’re wrong. You’re just a frightened old man, too cowardly to face the truth of what you were. You hide behind false gods that cannot protect you from the Deadlands.
Runil: Arkay, forgive me—
Saru: Arkay is dead! He is a lie! Admit it!
Runil: Arkay, I pray you bring peace and light to the soul of this dear young mer—
Saru: SILENCE! (Saru lashes out with lightning. Runil dies.) Lord Dagon does not suffer traitors and cowards. Nor does the Dominion. (Saru walks to Runil.) Get up, you fool. Pull yourself together. I barely touched you. (Runil does not move. Saru kneels.) Commander…? Commander? Dagon’s blood… What have I done?!

Selection #2: Aima, after escaping a flooded ruin where you killed someone who betrayed the both of you.

Aima: Damned bloody flooding rotten horker dung ruin! I was going to eat that bastard!

Selection #3: Fjotra, when you wake up after a drunken night out having trashed the temple to her god.

Fjotra: No, I don’t know what you did! You just ran off with that Sam guy and some vampire and disappeared! I ran all over Skyrim looking for you! I thought adults were supposed to be smart! And responsible! And now you’ve completely ruined my temple! You should be ashamed of yourself!
