I am currently focused on three major projects.
Performance & Martial Arts
I am combining martial and performing arts outside of the context of stage combat. I am creating a performance style based in Kung Fu, Ballet, and Historical European Swordplay. I am also creating acting techniques that draw on Internal Martial Arts: Qigong, Tai Chi, and Meihua Quan.
If you or your organization have interest in attending a class, bringing me in to teach at your gym/school/theatre company/etc., or taking a private lesson, feel free to contact me.
Game Design & Concept Art
I am designing and illustrating a tabletop role-playing game (like Dungeons & Dragons) based on a high-fantasy world I invented when I was 10 years old. This includes heavy concept art of characters, creatures, landscapes, and maps, as well as developing game mechanics that keep the randomness of the dice, while making combat more realistic and taking out as much of the mental math included in many dice-based tabletops as is possible.
I am soon to move into my first phase of playtesting. If you are in the Chicago area this fall, and are interested in playtesting this game, contact me.
I have a variety of writing projects I have been working on and off for the past few years. My main focus currently is a night of comedic short plays featuring the “dark” or “evil” gods and goddesses from various mythologies around the world, and their misadventures with mundane, normal things.
I will put this up in Fall 2018 in the Chicagoland area. Contact me if you are interested in joining the team.
